In 2009 Marc returned to New Orleans to help in the ongoing post Katrina revival.  He is now currently active in community music programs with DW Promark and New Orleans Outreach.  A celebrated and highly effective music educator, Marc continues teaching privately and is currently focusing on talented, at-risk youth in New Orleans.   He maintains a home studio called Crete Corner Music which is networked to Los Angeles, Orlando, Portland & New Orleans recording facilities, bringing together talent and technology across the country.

As a producer, numerous companies such as FOX, ESPN, KENWOOD and JVC have called on Marc’s sound, direction and multi-Instrumental nature.  In 2007 LA. Artist Monica Richardson & ABC’s Kevin Michael Richardson’s hit duet,  Highway  produced by Marc, soared up the US. AAA charts.  Other Film & TV credits include... K-VILLE,  BOSTON LEGAL, NASCAR and more. As a percussionist, Mojo has performed extensively with African Yoruba Master, Ayo Adeyemi as well as  the UCLA. World Arts Company.

Marc Joseph  “Mojo” was born and raised in a hotbed of rhythm... New Orleans.

He quickly developed a reputation as a versatile and dynamic drummer in the Big Easy. He studied on scholarship under the wing of infamous jazz patriarch,  Ellis Marsalis at The University of New Orleans, while paying his dues in the city’s notorious nightclub scene.  After receiving his degree,  Marc  toured / performed /recorded with many of New Orleans All Star musicians including... Dr. John,  Coco Robicheaux, Dave Easley, Mike Darby, Walter Wolfman Washington,  Brint Anderson, Sharon Leger,  Irene Sage,  George Porter Jr,  The Bourbon Brass Band  and  more.   Re-locating to Los Angeles,  Marc won the Ludwig  2000 Millennium Drum Off Competition and soon became the drummer for MTV Piano Boy John Ernst.  In 2001 he received critical acclaim for his drumming with the eclectic rock band Phineas, launching a busy career as popular LA session drummer.Marc has powered Smile recording artists,  The Andersons  and  driven R&B sensation Jessie Payo’s band. In 2006 he joined forces with drumming Icon, Carmine Appice to create the thunderous and innovative drum ensemble,  SLAMM  still playing in theaters nationwide. He has also played vip performances  with the great  Herbie HancockJoe Walsh & Olivia Newton John.  In 2008  Mojo teamed up with Venice beach funksters, The Gumbo Brothers and recorded a  new CD due out this fall.  He can also be heard on any given night with his own ensembles, MOJO COMBO & MOJO TRIAGE.  CD's out now on iTUNES   !
